Course Description:Overview
- This course relates to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and provides core “survival” skills for IT professionals looking to become full–time Linux system administrators. You will master the skills to perform essential Linux administration tasks, including installation, establishing network connectivity, managing physical storage, and basic security administration . Basic administration and configuration functions are covered, laying the foundation for rapid deployment of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Introduction to the command line Managing physical storage Learning how to install and configure software components and services Establishing network connections and firewall access Monitoring and managing processes Managing and securing files Administrating users and groups Accessing Linux file systems Installing and using virtualized systems Reviewing the system log files and journal This course will enable you to: Access & manage files from the command line Create, view, and edit text files Manage local Linux users and groups Monitor and manage Linux processes Control services and daemons Control access to files with Linux file–system permissions Analyze and store log files Configure and secure the OpenSSH service Install and update software packages Access Linux file systems Manage Linux networking These concepts are further developed in the follow–on course, Red Hat System Administration II (RH134). Both courses are needed in your preparation for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator Exam (EX200). *Select RHEL7 curricula is still available for Private deliveries by request.

- Discuss your team's educational needs with a BCS representative.
- Schedule class date(s) that fit your team's availabilty.
- Professional Trainer will conduct the class at your facility or online.
- We provide the instructor, instructor travel and lodging, training manuals and digital practice for each student.
- You provide the meeting/conference room, student xomputers with correct software installed and a projector for the instructor to use.
- Usually a two-week lead time to schedule a class.
- Classes normally run from 9am-4:30pm local time, but can be adjusted to fit your schedule.
- 1 Hour Lunch Break, and Two 15-minute Break

Small Group Package (up to 6 students)
- A Professional Instructor will come to your office and train your students
- Up to 6 students can attend the class for the flat rate course price of $1800/day
- Additional students can be added for $125/person/day
- Each student receives a Course Manual with Practice Files (Materials will be shipped before the class date)
- Course is scheduled based on dates you provide (Subject to instructor availability)
- We usually require about 2-weeks lead time to arrange a training session
- Training is completed in a convenient 1-day session (Start at 9am and Finish at 4:30pm)
- Two 15 minute breaks and one hour long break for lunch
Total Cost for 6 students: $1800/day (Flat Rate)
Medium Group Package (up to 12 students)
- A Professional Instructor will come to your office and train your students
- Up to 12 students can attend the class for the flat rate course price of $2500/day (over 31% off our Individual Training rates)
- Additional students can be added for $100/person/day
- Each student receives a Course Manual with Practice Files (Materials will be shipped before the class date)
- Course is scheduled based on dates you provide (Subject to instructor availability)
- We usually require about 2-weeks lead time to arrange a training session
- Training is completed in a convenient 1-day session (Start at 9am and Finish at 4:30pm)
- Two 15 minute breaks and one hour long break for lunch
Total Cost for 12 students: $2500/day (Flat Rate)
Large Group Package (up to 18 students)
- A Professional Instructor will come to your office and train your students
- Up to 18 students can attend the class for the flat rate course price of $3100 (over 43% off our Individual Training rates)
- Additional students can be added for $75/person/day
