Course Description:  The Power BI Intermediate course is a 2-day course that is designed to build off of the introductory Power BI course and introduce students to some of the more advanced capabilities of Power BI.

Topics covered in the course include:

  • Characterizing data with data profiling
  • Merging mismatched data sets with fuzzy matching
  • Generating custom columns in Power Query
  • Performing advanced data modeling
  • Using Power BI time intelligence
  • Using custom scripts in R and Python
  • Creating KPIs and scorecards
  • Working with advanced report design techniques
  • Working with advanced dashboard design techniques
  • Performing basic statistical analysis in Power BI

Target Student: This course is designed for student with some Power BI experience. Students should be familiar with the topics covered in the 20778: Analyzing Data with Power BI course, or have equivalent experience.
